MG Motors has recently introduced the MG Astor SUV before its launch in October 2021. The upcoming four-wheeler is expected to be the first Artificially Intelligent (AI) car in India. Starting today (September 19), the Astor will be on display in MG showrooms. However, the brand is likely to reveal more details about the car sometime before the launch. Customers in India are technically waiting for the launch of the MG Astor SUV. That’s why today we have brought every aspect of the car for you.

The MG Astor SUV gets a premium dashboard that is equipped with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system will offer connected car features through Jio e-SIM. There is an additional 7.0-inch digital screen for the driver. The MG Astor SUV gets several autonomous L2 features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, speed assist, and forward-collision warning.
What is Special
MG motors will also provide Jio 4G connectivity with the SUV, which could be the first time in India. The SUV comes with several subscription services like MapMyIndia, KoineArth’s Blockchain Protected Vehicle Digital Passport, and Park+ to find parking spots in your city.
India’s first AI-enabled car

This MG motors vehicle is equipped with AI and you get two things in it. The first is an ADAS setup and the second is a personal robotic assistant that follows voice commands. That is, whatever question you ask, it will give you the answer. You can get anything done by giving commands to this small robot. Like joking, increasing the AC, opening the sunroof. It is mounted on the dashboard.
Engine Options Available
The MG Astor is powered by a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated petrol engine that can generate a peak torque of 144Nm and a maximum power of 110hp. Another variant of the SUV gets a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine that is capable of producing 140hp of maximum power and 220Nm of peak torque.
New Sporty Look
The MG motors also provide a brand new front end with a hexagonal ‘Celestial’ grille to MG astor. The new fog lights, front bumper, new bumpers, and headlights, among others, give a sporty look to the SUV.
Price
The SUV comes with all-new diamond-cut alloy wheels which help differentiate it from the previous two models launched by MG in India. The ex-showroom price of this SUV by MG motors is expected to be between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 17 lakh.
Rivals of MG Astor
This SUV of MG motors is expected to compete with other SUVs like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and Skoda Kushak.
