MG Astor 2021

MG Motor India is all set to announce the MG Astor in the country on September 15, 2021. With the Astor, MG Motor India forays into the mid-size SUV turf, which already has some powerful vehicles like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Skoda Kushaq. The mid-size SUV segment is one of the most competitive in the Indian automobile industry.
From the Creta to the Seltos and the Kushaq, every vehicle here has its own USP. In such a situation, MG Motor India is leaving no stone unturned to present the Astor as a power-packed option with unique features.
Unique Features

The MG Astor looks exactly like the MG ZS EV. As per the official leaks revealed by the automaker so far, the Astor gets a new hexagonal ‘Celestial’ grille and LED projector headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, which double up as turn indicators. There are LED tail lamps at the rear. We expect the vehicle to come with 17-inch alloy wheels and a sunroof.
3 Interior themes for customer
Customers will get to choose from three interior themes. One of them is the dual-tone Sangria Red. MG Astor gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other standard features include the JioSaavn app, and maps and navigation services through MapMyIndia. MG Motor India is expected to equip the Astor with features like ventilated front seats, digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control.
First in Segment Feature

MG Motor India is offering the industry’s first personal assistant in the vehicle which has been made by American firm Star Design. The segment’s first autonomous Level 2 technology is also being offered in the mid-size SUV.
Engine Options
The MG Astor will reportedly get 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol and 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine options with both manual and automatic transmission options.
MG Astor price in India
We are expecting the Astor to be launched in India by early October 2021 in a price range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
