Kaushal Bharat 2022 or Skill India Scheme is a campaign started by the Government of India which was started by the Prime Minister of India “Shri Narendra Modi”. This campaign was launched on July 15, 2015, on International Youth Skills Day. As soon as Narendra Modi’s government came, he started many campaigns like “Digital India”, “Make in India”.
All these campaigns are to move the country towards development. In the same way, he started the “Skill India” campaign for the skill development of India. Under this campaign, by the year 2022, there is a target to train about 40 crore people of India in different skills so that they can get employment.
Kaushal Bharat Yojna 2022
The target of this scheme is to train about 40 crore youth of India for their skill development by the year 2022. For this each and every village will be covered.
Within this scheme, there are four other schemes like “National Skill Development Mission”, “National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship”, “Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana” and “Skill Loan Scheme”. On the day the scheme was launched, a symbol of the scheme and a tag line “Kaushal Bharat – Skilled India” were also unveiled.

National Skill Development Mission
National Skill Development Mission is a mission under the “Skill India Scheme” launched by the Government of India. This mission was approved by the Union Cabinet in 2015, but officially this mission was launched by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 July 2015 on the occasion of International Youth Skills Day.
This mission has been launched to cover all regions and states and develop them in terms of skill training activities. Further to achieve the vision of “Skilled India” the National Skill Development Mission is not only to strengthen and put efforts in skill development efforts but also to achieve skilling on a large scale with speed and standards across all sectors It is also to speed up decision making.
National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship
The National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015 aims to meet the challenge of skill development on a large scale with speed and standards (quality). It aims to provide an umbrella framework for all skill development activities within the country. Which is to align common standards and to connect skilling with demand centers.
In addition to these objectives and expected outcomes, efforts are also made to identify various institutional frameworks that can act as vehicles to reach the expected outcomes.
Prime Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojna (PMKVY)
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana is a scheme under “Skill India Scheme”, which was started by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi himself. The objective of this scheme is to encourage interest in employable skills and increase their work efficiency by giving rewards to probable and present day wage earners and providing them quality training. The average prize money per person has been kept at Rs.8000.

Skill Loan Scheme
Under this scheme, 5000 rupees of loan will be given to 34 lakh youth of India to participate in the skill development program in the next five years. 1.5 lakh to Rs. Has been made available on demand. Sanction letter for first ever skill loan, handed over to aspiring trainees by the Prime Minister.
Features of Kaushal Bharat Yojna 2022
- Under Kaushal Bharat, emphasis has to be laid on the skills of the youth so that their employment and entrepreneurship will improve.
- To provide training, support and guidance for all trades like Carpenter, Cobbler, Welder, Blacksmith, Mason, Nurse, Tailor, Weaver etc. in traditional way.
- More attention will be given to new sectors such as real estate, construction, transportation, textile, metal industry, jewelery designing, banking, tourism and many other sectors where skill development has been inadequate or not equal.
- Its training program will be on the lines of international level so that the youth of our country will not only be able to meet the demand of the country, but will also be able to meet the demand of many countries like America, Japan, China, Germany, Russia and West Asia.

Response of Skill india or Kaushal Bharat
Oracle, on February 12, 2016, announced the construction of a new 2.8 million square feet campus in Bangalore, one of Oracle’s biggest outdoor headquarters in Redwood Shores, California. Oracle Academy has started an initiative to train more than 50,000 students every year to develop computer science skills, this partnership has increased from 1700 to 2700 institutions in India currently.
