E Shram Card: Various types of schemes are started by the government for the workers of the organized and unorganized sectors of the country. So that all workers can be made strong and self-reliant but there are many workers who are eligible to get the benefit of the scheme but due to some reason they are deprived of getting the benefit of the scheme. eshram Portal has been launched by the Government of India for all such workers. Information related to all workers will be collected on this portal.
E Shramik Card 2022
The eshram portal has been launched by Union Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav. A national database of 38 crore unorganized sector workers will be prepared through E Shram Portal which will be seeded from Aadhaar. Due to which the laborers, street vendors, and domestic workers will be linked together. The name, address, educational qualification, type of skill, family-related information, etc. will be entered on the portal.
Along with connecting the workers together, many facilities will also be provided to them through this portal. A 12 digit e shramik card will be provided to all the registered workers which will be valid across the country. Through this e shram card, the benefits of many schemes will also be provided to the workers.
Through the EShram card, the workers will be distributed on the basis of their work. So that it will also help in providing employment to them. Apart from this, through the database, the government will also get help in launching various types of schemes for the workers and their better operation. The e-Shram portal will be operated by the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
Insurance cover will be provided
If a worker dies in an accident registered on the portal, then an insurance cover of ₹ 200000 will be provided to him. Apart from this, a provision of providing ₹ 200000 in case of permanent disability due to accident and ₹ 100000 in case of partial disability has also been fixed for the registered worker on this portal.
Launch of e Shram Portal
E Shram Portal has been launched by the government to create a database of workers in the unorganized sector. This portal has been launched by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. Under this portal, the government has approved a budget of Rs 404 crore to register the workers of the unorganized sector.
Workers are not required to pay any kind of fee for getting themselves registered on the portal. The workers can register directly through this portal or through the app. Apart from this, workers can also get help from the CSC center. ₹20 per registration will be provided to CSC centers by the Government of India.
E Shramik Card will be provided
All the registered workers on the eshram Portal will not need to register again and again to get the benefits of the Social Security Scheme launched by the Government of India. After registering on this portal, workers will be provided an e shram card. Which will have a 12 digit unique UAN number. This number will be valid across the country.

The objective of E Shram Portal
