Sargun Mehta was born on 6 September 1988 in Chandigarh, Punjab. She completed her studies till 10th from Sacred Heart Convent School, Chandigarh. After that, she completed his studies up to 12th from Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh. Sargun has done B.Com (Hon.) from Kirori Mal College Delhi. Sargun was very fond of acting, so she used to participate in drama competitions in her college.

After completing her graduation, Sargun auditioned for 12/24 Karol Bagh and was selected. This was her first serial on TV, she did not get much recognition from this serial but due to this, she started getting offers to work in many more serials.
After this Sargun got a chance to work in Phulwa and Balika Vadhu serials and they got recognition from them. People liked her acting very much. After this, she worked in popular TV serials like Crime Patrol, Jamai Raja, and Rishton Ka Mela.
Apart from TV serials, she has also worked in many Punjabi films. Like Angrezi in 2015, Love Punjab in 2016, Jindua in 2017, Kismat in 2018, and many more films.
Sargun Mehta has also worked in many TV commercials and she also appeared in Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe with Kapil Sharma. She has participated in famous reality shows like Nach Baliye 5, Nach Baliye Shriman vs Mrs., Nach Baliye 6, and Nach Baliye 7.
