Early life of Sahil Shroff

Sahil Shroff was born on 17 October 1982 in Melbourne city of Victoria state in Australia. Sahil belongs to a Sindhi family and was raised in Australia from the beginning. He received his early education and master’s degree in Information Technology from Melbourne City College. Sahil has been an athlete during his school and college. He used to practice Taekwondo for hours and run four days a week and at least 7 km to stay fit.

After completing his studies, he also worked in night shift as a bouncer outside the nightclubs of Australia. After working as a bouncer for some time, he moved to Mumbai where he started his career as a model, although he also worked as a model during his studies to cover his pocket money.

Career of Sahil Shroff

Sahil started his career as a model before entering Bollywood. With the help of modeling, he got offers to work as a model in many TV commercials, due to which he was also seen in many TV commercials including HCL Enterprise, Tata Indica, Lux, and Cadbury.

In 2006, he participated as a contestant in the first season of the reality television competition The Amazing Race Asia. Where he caught the attention of fashion designer Manish Malhotra and he got an opportunity to work with him. Apart from Manish Malhotra, he has walked the ramp for famous fashion designers Vikram Phadnis, Narendra Kumar, and JJ Valaya among others.

After succeeding in modeling, Sahil decided to make a career in Bollywood, and before starting his career in Bollywood films, he took acting training from Anupam Kher’s acting school and practiced his dialogue delivery.

In 2011, he made his Bollywood debut playing a supporting role in Don 2, the sequel to Farhan Akhtar’s Don. He was accompanied by big actors and actresses like Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, and Lara Dutta in this film.

The film was released on 23 December 2011 and made a splash at the box office earning 484 million in the opening weekend. In the year 2014, he also acted in Farhan Akhtar’s film Shaadi Ke Side Effect. In which Farhan Akhtar played the lead actor and Vidya Balan played the lead actress.

He was last seen in the web series “Baarish” created by Ekta Kapoor’s Alt Balaji in the year 2019. In the web series Baarish, he played the character of a person named Rishi Mehta. Actor Sharman Joshi and actress Asha Negi were the main characters in this web series.

Sahil Shroff has been given a chance to participate as a participant in Bigg Boss 15 which started on 2 October 2021.
